Unforgettable Elegance: White Wedding Flowers for Every Season

White Roses

These wonderful blooms have timeless appeal.  A white scented rose brings a touch of sophistication, whether used alone in an all-rose wedding bouquet or as a standout flower among seasonal blooms, adding style and elegance to your wedding bouquet.

A few of my favourite white rose varieties to use in your wedding flowers.

  • White O’Hara Rose – a beautiful blousey garden rose with a slight blush colour to the centre.  The scent is heavenly
  • David Austen Purity Rose – The best of the best.  An elegant cupped shape with an abundance of unfurling petals and ever so slight blush hint in the centre.
  • David Austen Patience – A wonderful open garden rose.  This variety has a more rich ivory tone.

Caring for Your White Wedding Flowers

Bouquets created with white flowers are a little more delicate than darker blooms.  White flowers do tend to bruise or show creases more easily so just take extra care not to pat or crush your flowers.  Apart from that they should be cared like any other flowers.  To keep them fresh all day, store them in water up until 30 minutes before your photos and ceremony.  Have a vase of water ready at your venue to place your bouquet into after your ceremony and photos.  Most importantly just enjoy them!

Wedding Flower FAQs

How far in advance should I order my Flowers?

Most couples typically book their wedding flowers between 9 to 12 months ahead of their wedding date. While it is possible to arrange flowers closer to your wedding, I recommend not leaving it less than 6 months in advance.

How do I choose the right flowers for my wedding season

Choosing the right flowers for your wedding starts with a conversation with your florist. A knowledgeable florist can guide you through seasonal options and help you select blooms that not only match your aesthetic but also thrive at that tie of year. Trust their expertise to recommend the best flowers that will look stunning and stay fresh throughout your wedding day. Discussing your vision and preferences will ensure you have beautiful arrangements that reflect the season and your personal style.
