Their Floral Vision: Joyful, Whimsical Blooms
Aly and Connor wanted relaxed, natural floral designs that embraced the beauty of seasonal summer flowers. Their vision was playful, whimsical, with florals that added warmth and an inviting, informal feel for their guests.
The bright yet delicate colour palette – soft pastels with hints of coral and peach – enhanced the joyful atmosphere of their day. From the free-spirited bouquets, delicate bud vases and the breathtaking floral moongate, every floral element helped to create a celebration full of romance and charm.
Creating Their Floral Designs: Romantic Colourful Wedding Flowers
Their floral arrangements were designed to feel abundant, whimsical, and effortlessly beautiful. I chose a selection of seasonal summer blooms, including garden roses, pale blue delphinium, and coral dahlias to bring their vision to life.
Locally grown flowers added an extra special touch, including delicate white cosmos, which brought a light, airy feel. Scabiosa, achillea and strawflower provided intricate details and a soft, natural movement throughout the designs.
Joyful Bouquets and Boutonnieres
Aly asked for a whimsical, vibrant bouquet bursting with summer colour. We chose a pastel palette accented with pops of peach and coral to add a playful, elegant touch. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were a smaller version of the bridal bouquet, featuring an abundant mix of garden roses, dahlias, delphiniums, scabiosa, strawflower and achillea.
For the boutonnieres I used peach spray roses and pale blue oxypetalum, creating a fresh, fun and informal look.
The Wow Factor: A Stunning Floral Moongate for the Ceremony
The floral moongate was a true showstopper, setting the scene for their heartfelt vows. Overflowing with vibrant summer blooms and lush foliage, it created the most romantic and enchanting atmosphere.
The design complemented Priston Mills ancient stone barn beautifully, enhancing its rustic charm while adding a whimsical, abundant feel. Floral meadow arrangements at the base gave the moongate a full and natural look, seamlessly blending into the surrounding countryside.
Reception Florals at Priston Mill: Romantic Summer Table Flowers
For the reception, I created a romantic, low floral arrangement that first adorned the signing table during the ceremony before being repurposed for the top table.
To bring colour and texture to the guest tables, I used clusters of delicate bud vases filled wit seasonal summer flowers. This simple yet elegant styling added softness and warmth to the space, perfectly complementing the relaxed, joyful atmosphere of the day.
