Whether you want to make a statement with large abundant displays or pretty up your aisle with dainty pew ends these flowers truly set the scene for the most important and emotional part of your day.

Romantic Wedding Ceremony Inspiration

I created this inspiration photo shoot at the heavenly Goldney Hall in Bristol. I wanted to created a soft romantic feel full of style and natural detail. Imagine saying your vows surrounded by beautiful seasonal blooms like this.

The Floral Designs

Hand-tied posies have added a gorgeous, delicate detail to the aisle and help lead the eye towards the ceremony area. I tied these to the chairs with trailing ribbon.

Large, seasonal displays such as floral urn arrangements are wonderful for providing an abundant, romantic feel to your space. I have used a mixture of bloom filled urns, meadow arrangement and vintage vases to created a simple, layered floral display. The effect is stylish and paired-back and yet adds a magical flower filled back drop for the wedding ceremony. It would be so simple to re-purpose the urns after your ceremony and place them in other spaces at your venue.

The Flower Varieties

Their is a romantic, delicate style to these floral designs. I have achieved this by using gorgeous large headed blooms such as garden roses and ranuculus and teamed them with seasonal detail such as berries, herbs and interesting foliage. This design would be perfect for a winter or early spring wedding.

I used light lavender tones with ivory. Soft peach and blush warmed up the colour palette. Deep dark tones in the berries and foliage added depth and detail to the flowers.

The Flowers I Used

  • Roses – Purity and Bounty Way
  • Spray Roses – Majolika and Leila
  • Ranunculus
  • Butterfly Ranunculus
  • Lilac
  • Snapdragons
  • Campanula
  • Achillea
  • Astrantia
  • Viburnum Berries
  • Foliage – Rosemary, Olive, Holm Oak, Eucalyptus, Skimmia

Flowers for your Wedding Aisle

Pew Ends

Perfect for adding detail, colour and also beautiful scent to your ceremony aisle. I like to create these as a hand tied posie and attach to chairs or church pews with trailing ribbon.

Meadow Displays

If you want a more abundant and opulent look for wedding ceremony, meadow displays really add that touch of magic. Using them to line your aisle creates incredible visual impact.

Floral Accents and details

Extra details will add a touch of luxury to your wedding ceremony. Why not scatter rose petals petals either side of the aisle. Candles will add an enchanting visual detail and are perfect for an autumn or winter wedding. I love creating small floral garlands to decorated a welcome sign for your guests.

Floral Arrangements for the Registrars Table

If you are holding a civil ceremony for your wedding you will likely need a registrars or signing table. Many couples with to decorate with this flowers as signing the register is an important part of the ceremony and often photographed. They are wonderfully to re-purpose at your wedding reception and are often reused as the top table flowers. Here is my advice on what to choose.

Cascading Table Flowers

These floral arrangements add a beautiful, elegant touch to your signing table. This is my take on a classic long low table arrangement that sits on the front of the table. I like to keep things a bit more natural and whimsical for my couples. You can see an example of this here.

Vintage Vase

This is such a stylish and unique choice. A beautiful, low, vintage vase filled with gorgeous blooms to sit on the front of your registrars table. I have a selection of favourite vases that I have collected over the years for you to use at your wedding ceremony. Take a look at Ruth and Richards Ceremony Table Flowers Here

Floral Arches and Backdrops

When it comes to creating a beautiful and memorable wedding ceremony, floral arches and backdrops play a crucial role in setting the stage for your special day. These stunning elements not only add a touch of elegance and romance to the venue but also provide a picturesque backdrop for your vows and photos.

Large Floral Arrangements

Abundant urn arrangements create an elegant and luxurious addition to your wedding ceremony. I love creating them for my couples in vintage style urns, elevated on stands to add impact. The are very easy to move and re-use later in your day to decorate your venue.

Floral Arches

Floral arches not only provide a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony but also create stunning photo opportunities that you will cherish for a lifetime. They are a wonderful way to let your personal style shine through. There are many options. I love to create whimsical broken archways, full abundant arches and enchanting moon-gates. So, embrace the beauty of floral arches and let them set the stage for a truly magical wedding ceremony.
