A Few things you didn’t know about me

  • My full name is Megan Lily Christabel Troughton- ‘Lily’ comes from Lily of the Valley, one of my mum’s favourite flowers, and a perfect fit since I was born in April, the heart of Spring. Flowers have been having an influence on me since birth!
  • I have a degree in Set and Costume design from The Central School of Speech and Drama.  This background knowledge gives me a unique perspective when creating wedding flowers as I understand how to evoke emotion and meaning visually, using colour and texture. This is why I  create beautifully emotive wedding flowers for my couples.
  • I was the grungy kid at school!  My quiet way of rebelling. Though my style is more refined these days, I still have a love for the unusual and the subtly unique, which means your wedding flowers will always reflect your individuality.
  • While training as a florist I made it to the Final of the Chelsea Florist of the Year Competition at Chelsea Flower Show.  This achievement gave me the confidence to pursue my passion and start my own business as a Bristol wedding florist.

It is so important that your wedding flowers reflect you as a couple.  That they enhance your day and are part of the memories you have.  I believe the secret to truly personal and unique wedding flowers lies in creating relaxed, informal designs with the beautifully imperfect qualities of the flowers at their heart.

But if you’re planning a last-minute wedding, don’t worry – some florists, including me, might still be able to make it happen. It’s always worth asking!
