Stunning September Wedding Florals
Beatifully informal, wild and elegant. I am very happy to share Kate and Matt’s gorgeous wedding with you all. Full of lush late summer blooms, gorgeously wild little details and an incredible rich colour palette.
Their Floral Style
Kate and Matt wanted unique, seasonal flowers with an informal ‘thrown together’ feel. I just love the colour palette of rich reds, oranges and wine colours moving through to more delicate dusky pinks and lavender tones.
For Kate I created a gorgeous, untamed bouquet packed full of seasonal flowers, texture and wild little details. The bridesmaids had wild summer posies.
I created informal boutonnieres for the chaps. Such a lovely, unique, personal touch.
The venue decor featured lots of informally placed stems in bottles and foliage garlands.
The Mix of Stems
I wanted the designs to have a lovely full, abundant look so chose lots of round, large headed varieties such as the deep red dahlia and wild look roses. I added a touch of pretty with pale dusky lavender roses and wax flower. I created beautiful, errant, untamed shapes, texture and details with astilbe, snap dragons, eryngium, daucus carota and beautiful Sanguisorba. I also used lovely draping berried eucalyptus.
