Gorgeous summer wedding flowers at Barley Wood House in North Somerset. I am so happy to share this beautiful peachy wedding with you all. Beautiful, abundant, relaxed floral designs. Lots of lovely personal touches and those amazing coral charm peonies. Barley wood House is a stunning wedding venue and one of my absolute favourites to work at.
Their Floral Style
Lillie and Rich were a delight to work with and I adored creating their designs. They wanted beautiful, vibrant, informal designs to represent their love of travel and help give a relaxed and warm feeling to their wedding day. We talked about peach and coral tones for the colour scheme with a relaxed, loose, informal style to the floral designs.
I chose amazing Coral Charm peonies as the focal flower for their designs. With the wedding being in June this was the obvious choice. Lillie’s bouquet was a beautiful abundant design full of seasonal flowers, roses, peonies and eye catching details such as the tiny pale blue forget-me-nots. These were a late addition to the wedding designs and I’m so glad we included them as they look so gorgeous against the peachy tones. I created sweet posies for Lillie’s bridesmaids as a smaller version of her bouquet. Rich and his ushers had lovely, informal boutonnieres full of flowering herbs and foliage.
I adore providing wedding flowers at Barley Wood House. There are so many beautiful spaces, mantlepieces, windowsils to pretty up with blooms. Lillie and Rich had trestle tables for their wedding breakfast which they styled themselves beautifully. I added a runner of peachy toned summer flowers through the centre of the tables. This is such a lovely, informal way of adding flowers to your tables and really brought their styling to life.
The Mix of Blooms
I put together an abundant mix of peach and coral roses, larkspur, snapdragons, stocks, forget-me-nots with a selection of English, European and tropical foliage as a nod to their love of travel. I also added more detail with achillea, and astrantia. Let’s not forget the incredible Coral Charm peonies which I bought in especially from a British flower grower.
