Hello! I’m Meg a wedding florist in Bristol. Welcome to my latest real wedding blog post full of seasonal advice, tips and inspiration. I love working with my gorgeous couples and sharing the beautiful, floral filled photos from their day.
Sophie and Sean Eastington Park December 2019
Elegantly wild and timeless
A simply stunning winter wedding with effortless, naturally beautiful blooms. Seasonal flowers brought together in a simple white and green colour palette.
Their Floral Style
I loved designing Sophie and Sean’s wedding florals. They wanted an informal feel to their day with natural, elegant designs and a bit of Megan Lily unruliness thrown in.
I created an elegant bouquet for Sophie full of delicate winter blooms and lots of foliage for that touch of wild. Also a delicate waxflower crown which she looks so beauuutiful in. Bridesmaids had wild winter posies.
I made gorgeous foliage and herb boutonierres for the chaps and chapess’s which always make such a lovely personal, unique touch.
For the venue I made simple arrangements of white seasonal flowers with lots of lovely foliage, berries, herbs and seed heads to add a wintery feel. All placed in elegant silver vases.
The Mix of Stems
I used delicate, seasonal winter varieties such as ranunculus and beautiful hellebores which have a lovely natural droop and add gorgeous elegantly errant detail to the designs. I also used Avalanche roses, spray roses, white stocks, white eryngium for texture with wax flower and astrantia for prettiness.
Foliage was so important for this wedding. I chose olive, parvifolia eucalyptus and berried eucalyptus. I also used skimmia for the lovely delicate berries.
