Welcome to my Spring Flower Guide. Here I will give you a run down of some of my favourite seasonal spring blooms that I love to include in my couples wedding flowers. It’s all about soft delicate detail when it comes to spring florals.
I love to use varieties such as garden roses, snap dragons, astrantia, lisanthus and scented stocks. These are available on the cut flower market throughout the year. I truly believe it is the imperfectly beautiful, wild natural nature of seasonal varieties that add that magic and personality to wedding designs.
Spring Wedding Flowers
Lilac
Stunning, blossom like flower. This gorgeous spring bloom comes in dark and pale purple tones, white and also a beautiful blush pink. The scent is amazing. Perfect for adding a luxurious touch to bouquets and large arrangements.
Ranunculus
These little darlings. Perfectly delicate, tissue paper like petals. They come in a rainbow of colours from deep dark burgundy, softest pale pink through to beautiful bright yellow. I love to use them in spring bouquets, boutonnieres and table centres.
Anemone
Beautifully elegant spring bloom. Anemones are one of my favourites (I had them in my wedding bouquet). Delicate, open petals in an array of colour from pastel tones to bright beautiful reds. The dark centres give them a delicately striking look.
Muscari
The sweetest of spring flowers. These little guys may be small but really stand out in seasonal spring floral designs. Normally seen in a gorgeous vibrant blue they are also available in white deep blue and powder blue. I love using them to add detail to bouquets and buttonholes.
Snakeshead Fratillery
So gorgeous with their delicate nodding heads. I love including these flowers in my spring weddings and can’t resist them when I see them at the flower market. They add a lovely subtle seasonal detail to spring wedding bouquets.
Lily of the Valley
The daintiest of spring blooms. Tiny delicate white bells. They add a beautiful, elegant and natural feel to spring wedding designs. I love to include them in bouquets and table centres.
Cherry Blossom
Everybody loves it when the blossom starts to appear on the trees at the beginning of spring. I love to include it in my couples wedding flowers. It gives a wonderful romantic feel to bouquets and large displays.
Butterfly Ranunculus
A stunning single petalled variety of ranunculus. They have a beautiful light and airy quality to them. I add them to spring bouquets and table centres as an elegant seasonal touch.
For-Get-Me-Nots
These delicate little beauties. I adore it when they start appearing in my garden – a sure sign of spring. With their beautiful blue they add a gorgeous pop of colour to my wedding designs. Perfect for adding detail in a simple seasonal vase table centre.
