Romantic Wedding Flowers at Barley Wood House
Their Floral Style
I adored working with Hannah and Tom on their wedding flowers. They wanted romantic, abundant, seasonal floral designs to really add a beautiful back drop throughout all the elements of their day. Barley Wood is such a wonderful venue to flower. There are so many spaces, surfaces, mantle pieces, window sills just asking to be decorated.
Personal Flowers
We talked about abundant designs with a relaxed feel and a gorgeous neutral, ivory colour palette with hints of gold. I created a romantic bridal bouquet for Hannah with a natural, elegant shape with smaller posies bridesmaids. Classic white rose buttonholes for Tom and his ushers.
Wedding Ceremony Flowers
Barley Wood House has a lovely Italian garden with a beautiful summer house just perfect for ceremonies. For Hannah and Tom’s outdoor ceremony I placed lovely informal urn arrangements leading the eye up the steps. I created an elegant vintage vase arrangement for their registrars table to add a beautiful personal touch.
Wedding Reception Flowers
I created an abundant, romantic feel to their day with a natural broken floral arch for the entrance to Barley Wood House. I place a large flower filled arrangement on the beautiful mantle piece which added ‘Wow’ to the room. This all looked so beautiful with the amazing summer blooms with the subtle gold colour palette.
I placed lovely vintage vases of summer flowers on the tables for the wedding breakfast.
The Flowers
Putting the mix of flowers together for Hannah and Tom’s wedding was a joy. I am lucky enough to live near some wonderful flower growers so was able to provide locally grown blooms for this wedding. Beautiful cafe au lait dahlias, garden roses, and hydrangea gave an abundant romantic style to the beautiful summer wedding flowers . I added beautiful seasonal detail with echinacea, cosmos and campanula. I added hints of golden brown with amaranthus, and beautiful bracken.
