Nick and Alice Wedding September 2014
Their Floral Style
A lovely vintage wedding with a soft and romantic feel. Alice wanted flowers with a natural and informal look. Together we chose a pale, dusky colour palette including beautiful Amnesia roses – my absolute favourite with their beautiful faded look. She wanted her bouquet to include some stronger colours which I added with gorgeous Vermeer calla lilies.
Alice’s bouquet included Amnesia roses, Vermeer Calla lilies, bouvardia, freesias and fountain grass
Beautifully simple bridesmaids bouquets of dusky, pale Pink Royalty calla lilies
Nick and Alice chose calla buttonholes – a beautiful alternative to roses
I love making these more informal corsages – so pretty
all packed ready for delivery
I provided these lovely wild and wonderful large pedestal arrangments for the ceremony. They work so well with this colour scheme
I created dainty little posies which were used as Pew Ends for the ceremony
My hand made real flower petal confetti – so pretty
The natural style of the table centres worked so well with the rest of the wedding flowers. Using mis-match cut glass vases helped create a vintage, informal look
Floral Tips and Advice
I am a big fan of making the most of your flowers on the day. All the flowers used in the ceremony were re-used for the reception. The pedestals were moved so they could be enjoyed all day. I provided ribboned jam jars which the pew ends were placed in and used as extra decoration for the wedding breakfast. The wedding and reception took place at the lovely Leigh Court just outside Bristol. The vintage style of the flowers for this wedding worked so well in the venue.
