I had the absolute pleasure of creating the lovely Ruth and Richard’s wedding flowers at Goldney House in September. Beautiful, relaxed, garden inspired designs with the prettiest lavender colour palette.
Their Floral Style
I am delighted to share this beautiful wedding with you that I had the pleasure of flowering last September. Ruth and Richard wanted a relaxed, natural and elegant feel to the floral designs for their day. They wanted them to feel like a summer garden, not too formal and with a relaxed and natural feel. At our consultation we spoke about a mix of purple and lavender tones and using lots of seasonal, late summer flowers. With the wedding in early September I knew this was going work so well with the varieties that would be available at this time. It gave such a beautiful, delicate feel to the designs.
The personal flowers had an informal elegant style and were created with lots of beautiful summer flowers, foliages and grasses. Ruth’s bouquet had a natural, relaxed garden look with lots of delicate detail and movement to the design. I also created elegant, informal boutonnieres for Richard and the rest of the wedding party.
For the ceremony I placed a beautiful, garden inspired flower arrangement on the Registrars Table. I created the design in a beautiful vintage vase which added a simple, elegant touch to the ceremony room.
The reception was held in the beautiful Orangery at Goldney House. Ruth and Richard wanted summer garden inspired designs for their tables so I created informal clusters of mixed seasonal stems in vintage bud vases and bottles. This looked so pretty at the venue and added a lovely detail to the room.
The Mix of Blooms
I had so much fun with this colour palette. I chose lots of summer garden inspired flowers such as stocks, scabious and snapdragons along with some beautiful roses all in different tones of purple. Also I added clematis, gorgeous delicate grasses, flowering herbs and foliage to add detail and movement to the designs.
