Wild Summer Wedding Flowers
A riot of summer colour! Very excited to share this gorgeously wild summer wedding with you. Packed full of beautifully bright, seasonal summer blooms.
Their Floral Style
Eric and Grace wanted wild and rustic flowers. Totally informal, fun with a bright and beautiful riot of colour.
I created gorgeous boho bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids and lovely informal boutonniere style buttonholes for the chaps.
They chose lots of lovely touches like little wild posies tied to chairs as informal pew ends for their ceremony. I filled little nooks and crannies in the wonderful Upcote barn with natural arrangements in tin cans and bottles.
Tables for the wedding breakfast were filled with clusters of wild summer flowers in tin cans and bottles all giving a gorgeous, fun and informal feel to the day.
The Mix of Stems
I created the designs with a lovely bright, summery mix of blooms including delphiniums, cornflower, scabious, dahlias and gorgeous coral vuvuzela roses.
I also used mini Sonja sunflowers which I love to use – their smaller size means they blend in better with the other flowers and they don’t take over.
I also used lots of gorgeous grasses, bupleurum and foliages to add detail and a touch of unruliness!
